Biography She is a highly professional and well regarded chartered accountant with a successful career both in professional practice and in the financial services industry.

As well as being a chartered accountant, she holds a primary degree in Economics and a post graduate Diploma in Corporate Governance from the Michael Smurfit Business School in UCD.

During her 14 years experience as an auditor and business consultant with PwC, she advised a range of clients in both the public and private sector, giving auditing, transaction support, business process reengineering and other consulting services. She also acted in a variety of senior finance roles for both plc and public sector organisations on secondment from PwC.

She has just completed 6 years at Director level AXA Insurance, where she had responsibility for the finance, strategic planning and risk management functions and worked as a member of the Management Committee which transformed the business from loss making to being highly profitable.

She decided to move to work as independent consultant in early 2006 to facilitate her growing family. She is a non-executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of EirGrid plc, the electricity transmission system operator. She also lectures in Risk Management in the Michael Smurfit Business School in UCD.

She has a particular interest in bringing her professional qualifications and experience of working on �three sides� of the Boardroom table (ie as an executive director, non-executive director and professional advisor) to provide services to a wide spectrum of organisations. Her expertise in financial reporting, auditing and risk management puts her in an ideal position to add value to Audit Committees and her insights into the workings of companies and public sector organisations at the most senior levels allows her to make a significant contribution to general management issues.
