Member reference no. 1021 Biography This member has a distinguished career in the Financial Services sector having been Insurance Ombudsman of Ireland from 1998 to 2005 and Deputy Financial Services Ombudsman from 2005 to date dealing with complaints from all financial service providers including: Banks Building Societies Insurance companies both life and general Credit Unions Mortgage, Insurance and other credit intermediaries Stockbrokers Pawnbrokers Moneylenders Bureaux de change Hire Purchase providers Leasing companies Credit sales companies Health Insurance companies This member has a distinguished career in the consumer sector having been Chief Executive of the Consumers� Association of Ireland from 1990 to 1998. This member has experience of the aviation sector having worked for Aer Lingus and British Airways. This member worked for the Red Cross Society and has experience in Humanitarian law and international development and aid. This member serves on the Fin Net Steering committee. Fin Net is the European Financial Services Complaints resolution body. She is a committee member of the British and Irish Ombudsman Governance Group and also serves on the Legal Liaison Group.
